Guangdong enhance the poverty relief standards

Guangdong province is to enhence the standards of poverty relief in rural with an average of 3,000 RMB per year in 2013.

Guangdong government will have totally realized the average of yearly income for each equal or exceeds to 2,500 RMB in rural within 2012, base on such policies, the newly poverty relief mission called "Doubles" will be started in 2013.

The Guangdong minister Zhu Xiaodan gave a speech on January 1 in Guangdong Poverty Relief Conference. In present, the extreme poverty in Guangdong has been generally removed, but the differences between incomes remain challenge. Guangdong expected that it would has reached the goal of yearly income for each person equal or exceed 2,500 RMB by the end of 2012, but the 2,500 RMB annuary income was only occupy 27.1% of the annary income of 2011 Guangdong province in rural. According to the centre government's requirment on poverty relief, the Guangdong government has comfirmed that the standards will be enhanced to 33% from 2013 to 2015.

According to the report, in 2011, the Guangdong peasants' annuary income has already achieved 9,000 RMB in 2011 and will be reached in 10,000 RMB in 2012. If accord the standards in 33% to calculate, the poverty people annuary income can achieve 3,300 in 2013.
